Community Involvement
Active member in the United Church of Christ serving as moderator, deacon and other offices. Active coach for several of our children's sports teams.
Jamie Garard was voted to serve on the Board of WITS (Working in the Schools). For 3 years, Jamie has been a mentoring volunteer working with young children to help them improve their reading. WITS is a literacy organization that increases the reading proficiency and learning capacity of low income and minoity students in the Chicago public schools. WITS recruits business, government and community volunteers who deliver measurable and consistent tutoring and mentoring services.
